Frequently Asked Questions

How often should a water tank be cleaned?

* According to Government Health Departments, rainwater tanks should be cleaned every 2-3 years. However, in some cases where there are more trees they may need to be done more frequently.

How do we clean rainwater tanks?

* With our method you get to keep at least 80% of your water.  First by vacuuming out the sediment on the tank floor. Then we filter the water through a 25 micron filter which also puts oxygen back into the water and as we are doing this we sanitise the tank.

However, in some cases, if water is highly contaminated by a dead animal, chemicals or very high levels of sediment we will need to vacuum all the water out and replenish and sanitise.

How do we kill bacteria in a water tank?

* We use a rainwater tank sanitiser which is environmentally and family safe, tasteless and odourless.

What does it cost to clean a rainwater tank?

* Prices start from $150 per tank depending on the size of the tank. Discount on multiple tanks. Call for more details.
